Hand crafted Tops are made from ten-year-old store of Elm, oak, Common Cherry, lime or the ocassional blackthorne. Most shafts are hazel or common cherry, left to mature in its own time (sealed, of course). The shafts then straightened, and again, left for a while to settle before furhther work; making for a good solid, sturdy, walking and hiking staff, with its own unique and one off characteristics. At this point the bark is examined for a good life which will depend, from then on. the amount of TLC you devote to it; a little will reward you with a life time companion. No staff is prepped for, at least, a year after coppicing. The hand carved tops are crafted either ten-year-old store of elm, oak, common cherry, or lime. Shafts are hazel, common cherry, or the ocacasional backthorne; left to mature in its own time (sealed, of course). Once the shafts are straightened they are left for a while to settle before further work is done.To see it leaning against a wall always waiting for you and your friend, what coud be more comforting.
